Our framework for supporting children & young people
YLO (Youth Support Services) framework for supporting children and young people is centred on the progress towards identified goals that strengthen the capacity for growth and increase chances of success within their life.
Our support of children and young people is not about simply “occupying” them for a period of time. Our staff will work with children and young people and those that are providing their care to identify the areas of strength and areas of need within their life. From this, goals with be developed that are also in line with the goals of the care team, that will guide the time the Youth Support Worker spends with the child or young people. All activities and interactions will be purposeful in the progress towards the attainment of goals.
Our staff are highly trained and experienced youth workers who have extensive training working with children from culturally diverse backgrounds and carrying levels of needs. Youth Support Workers are enthusiastic and creative in utilising a number of mediums to engage children and young people.
